Trump supported by a well-funded super PAC
A super PAC with substantial funding has been established to back former President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign, as per a report by Axios.
Right for America, which was registered in McLean, Virginia in late January, is being spearheaded by Sergio Gor and has secured funding from billionaire Ike Perlmutter, the former Marvel Entertainment chairman.
“We are excited to work towards reelecting President Trump in November,” Gor stated when questioned by Axios about the PAC’s ability to operate effectively under staff members who may not have experience running a similarly large organization.
The other two board members named are Lee Rizzuto, Trump’s former consul general in Bermuda, and Anthony Lomangino, a close friend and entrepreneur from New York who made his fortune by selling a recycling-collection business to Waste Management.
Trump, the leading GOP candidate, currently trails behind President Joe Biden in terms of fundraising, according to the Federal Elections Commission.
