Vice President Ceases Clapping During Protest Song Targeted at Biden Administration

Vice President Kamala Harris was seen happily clapping along to a protest song during a visit to San Juan, Puerto Rico, until she realized that the song’s lyrics were critical of the Biden administration.

Several videos captured Harris clapping and smiling as a group sang in Spanish, but she stopped when an aide informed her about the lyrics, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The song questioned: “We want to know, Kamala, what did you come to do? We want to know, Kamala, what is going to happen?” prompting Harris to become more serious by lowering her hands.

The protest song criticized Harris and the policies of the Biden administration, including the conflict in Gaza and unrest in Haiti, the outlet reported.

“Long live free Palestine and Haiti too,” the protesters sang.

Harris was visiting the Coyco Community Center in San Juan to highlight the Biden administration’s efforts to support Puerto Rico’s recovery and renewal. She also attended campaign events during her trip.

Protesters in San Juan were seen burning American flags and holding posters with messages like “Kamala Harris War Criminal” and “We did it, Joe: 14,861 children killed,” referring to Gaza.

Prior to the incident, Harris toured a residential home in San Juan that had been damaged during Hurricane Maria but had since been equipped with solar panels and water tanks. She was joined by Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm, Deputy Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Adrianne Todman, and Puerto Rico Gov. Pedro Pierluisi, according to Fox News.
