Biden attributes rough interview to a bad night – has there ever been a good one?

The interview of President Joe Biden with George Stepanopoulos was never going to be the miracle his supporters hoped for.

If his debate with Donald Trump last week was the final blow to his political career, the days following it have only made things worse.

Now, with the undeniable decline of the president, the truth is out.

Biden can no longer remember names of longtime family friends or keep up with global counterparts.

What to know about the aftermath of President Biden’s debate performance:

His staff is leaking information, Democrats are openly calling for him to step down, and media outlets are no longer holding back their criticism.

In a revealing piece for New York magazine, Olivia Nuzzi detailed Biden’s struggles since 2020.

“Good days” are insufficient for a commander-in-chief.

But where are they?

His team considers last Thursday and Friday nights as bad, with his speech difficulties and blank stares continuing to concern the nation.

His detachment from reality was evident in more than just his appearance and speech.

When asked if he watched the debate, Biden confusedly replied, “I don’t think I did.”

When questioned about Senator Mark Warner’s suggestion for him to step down, Biden hinted at a non-existent rivalry between them in the presidential race.

He continued to deny facts, blamed his debate performance on crosstalk, and criticized Stephanopoulos’ interviewing skills.

The post-interview analysis on ABC was unfavorable.

Jonathan Karl reported that it did nothing to calm the nerves of his party, and Martha Raddatz mentioned that the best review was that it “wasn’t as bad” as expected.

One panelist stated that the movement against him was growing on Friday night.

Only a significant success could have saved Biden’s campaign.

If the debate was a failure, his interview with Stephanopoulos was not much better.

Biden and his inner circle are holding on to hope for better days.

Can you remember the last good day?
