Border agents deserve an apology from Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas for false ‘whipping’ allegation

Do you remember when leftists spread a story about Border Patrol agents whipping migrants at the southern border, and President Biden and DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas joined in without any evidence?

One of the falsely accused border agents (whose name has not been disclosed for safety reasons) has recently received an award for his exceptional efforts in combating human smuggling.

Despite this recognition, there has been no apology from Biden or Mayorkas.

In September 2021, the El Paso Times captured images of mounted border agents trying to manage a group of 14,000 Haitians attempting to cross the border illegally.

This sparked outrage among liberals, leading to the false narrative of “whipping” spreading rapidly on social media and in the news.

Instead of waiting for the facts, Biden officials, including Mayorkas, made hasty and inflammatory comments.

Mayorkas compared the agents to plantation overseers and Biden promised that “those people will pay,” based on the false narrative.

However, an investigation revealed that no migrants were harmed, and the agents did not use whips but reins for their horses.

Despite this clarification, Biden and Mayorkas have not apologized for falsely accusing the border agents.

One of the agents, who was reassigned to a desk job and prohibited from interacting with illegal immigrants, received a Border Patrol Achievement Award for his outstanding work in anti-smuggling intelligence.

While this agent exemplifies the kind of professionalism needed at the border, it’s unlikely that the White House will acknowledge his achievements.

Biden’s reluctance to address illegal migration is a reflection of his inclination to pander to progressive ideologies, despite the negative impact on his popularity.

As voters hold Biden accountable for his misplaced priorities in the upcoming election, we hope that the agents he unjustly maligned find some comfort in the outcome.
