The Issue: Claims that Joe Biden was influenced by Bursima Holdings in pursuing Viktor Shokin’s firing.
If proven, President Biden taking a bribe to get former Ukrainian prosecuter Viktor Shokin fired will complete the puzzle of Biden family corruption (“They were paid to push me out,” Aug. 26).
Biden will soon find out that an impeachable offense is whatever the majority of the House of Representatives says it is.
His vanity and stubbornness will not allow him to resign the office he feels destined for. Absent the unlikely event that Democrats tell him there are enough votes in the House and Senate to impeach and remove him from office, the country will be put through months of investigations and a Senate trial.
An increasingly isolated and paranoid president will be running for reelection against a challenger awaiting trials of his own. The country deserves better.

So it looks like Biden lied again. What a shock!
The Post’s editorial claimed that the Obama State Department was happy enough with Ukraine’s top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, weeks before Biden, as vice president, threatened to withhold $1 billion in US aid unless the Ukrainian government fired Shokin, whom Biden said was corrupt (“Smokescreen Blown,” Aug. 24).
This was in contrast to US policy goals but did help Burisma, where Hunter Biden was on the payroll. And Joe and Hunter allegedly received $5 million each from Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky.
Did Biden act alone or with Obama’s blessing? And why did Biden demand the firing? That should be investigated by Congress.

Joe’s claim that he had no role in Hunter’s business is patently absurd.
There are now reports that he granted Russian businessman Mykola Zlochevsky the favor of Viktor Shokin’s firing.
I tire of hearing that there’s no evidence linking him to Hunter’s alleged crimes.

The boastful manner by which Biden exhorted Ukrainians to fire prosecutor Viktor Shokin can obviously be attributed to Hunter’s paid board position with the energy firm Burisma.
Shokin was fired, and Hunter’s lucrative position with Burisma was solidified. Biden’s influential intervention allegedly ended any Shokin-led corruption investigation of Burisma.
All the while, Hunter had zero experience to justify a lucrative paying position with Burisma.
Biden often references how he is dedicated to bringing the country together as one. However, in reality, there is strong evidence that the sole purpose of his political career was to enrich his family financially.

The Issue: Alice Cooper’s criticism of the transgender movement and gender transitions for minors.
If someone asked me to pen my opinion about the woke movement and gender-transition care for minors, I would’ve pounded my keyboard, writing the exact words spoken by Alice Cooper (“Culture ‘shock,’ ” Aug. 26).
While this movement is few in number, unfortunately it has managed to impact everything from the writings of treasured classics to the self-image of children.
Looks to me like Alice Cooper is now a rebel with a cause.

Kudos to Alice Cooper for speaking up about what most are in fear of — the truth.
Cooper is one of the few in the music/Hollywood scene not afraid to voice an opinion of reason and light the candle instead of praising the darkness.
