Midtown West, once considered a crime hotspot, exposes the reality behind official crime statistics in NYC

There has been a modest decrease in overall crime in New York City, with a 2.5% drop compared to the same period last year. However, the Manhattan North Precinct remains a concerning area with a high level of violence and disorder.

Local residents express concern and hopelessness about the situation, with many impacted by the rise in crime. The state Legislature and City Council, dominated by progressives, have implemented policies on bail, policing, and public safety that have contributed to social decay.
