Parody cannot capture the absurdity of Biden’s Middle East policy

Headline from the satire site The Babylon Bee: “World In Shock As Murderous Terrorist State Ignores Warning From Impotent Old Man.”

Iran launched hundreds of missiles at Israel, despite President Biden’s warning to Iran: “Don’t.”

It’s challenging to be a satire site with this administration beyond parody. Iran is recognized as a murderous terrorist state.

Iran disregarded Biden’s warning, similar to Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2022.

Following the attack, the Biden administration’s main focus has been on urging Israel not to retaliate.

Israel, a target of attacks, is being advised to exercise restraint, despite the immense suffering it has faced.

Israel is told not to respond despite facing severe attacks, a scenario uncommon in any other country.

G7 leaders were assembled by the Biden administration to request that Israel refrains from retaliating.

Is it incompetence or corruption? Maybe both. The Biden administration’s tactics seem self-serving.

Challenges arise due to opposing interests: not alienating anti-Iran Americans and Jewish donors, while avoiding disruption of oil facilities that could raise gas prices.

Biden is trying to maintain a delicate balance that may not be effective.

Under Obama-Biden’s leadership in 2009, an opportunity to support Iranian protests was overlooked for an agreement with Iran on nuclear weapons development.

Since Biden’s term, US policies have favored Iran, signaling a potential turn against Israel if deemed beneficial domestically.

Arab nations, largely siding with Israel, see Iran differently due to regional concerns about a nuclear-armed Iran.

The Abraham Accords under Trump created an anti-Iran alliance in the region, shifting dynamics significantly.

Trump achieved peace between Israel and Arab nations, a promise fulfilled but not fully acknowledged.

Contrary to predictions, Trump avoided starting new wars, unlike Biden’s administration.

Foreign policy is managed by allegedly incompetent individuals, indicating a need for new leadership.
