Stefanik plans to introduce Trump’s America First agenda at the United Nations

The cries heard from Turtle Bay recently were from foreign diplomats realizing that President-elect Donald Trump chose Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) to be his ambassador to the United Nations.

If there’s anyone who can challenge the anti-Americanism and antisemitism within the UN system, it’s Stefanik.

Her first mission will be at the UN Security Council, where as a permanent member, the United States holds a veto and the power to convene.

Stefanik should not hesitate to use these powers in ways the Biden administration avoided.

While the Biden team shied away from using the veto, Stefanik should not fear deploying it to defend against adversaries like Russia and China who have no qualms about using their veto powers.

In the midst of anti-American sentiments, Stefanik should utilize all available tools to combat these forces.

This should include a strong stance, showcasing that the United States will not hesitate to use its veto, and a proactive strategy to counter adversaries.

With the power to introduce resolutions, Trump and Sen. Marco Rubio could utilize Stefanik to spearhead political warfare against America’s enemies.

The focus should be on highlighting the actions of China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and their allies while forcing China and Russia to defend their actions through the use of veto power.

Stefanik’s role can also involve pressing for multilateral sanctions on Iran and leveraging US support within the UN to counter Chinese influence and combat terrorism.

Stefanik should lead a campaign to recruit pro-American candidates for UN agencies, remove Chinese officials, and target agencies that operate in favor of China or engage in antisemitism.

She should also advocate for Taiwan to have observer status in key UN agencies supported by the US.

Additionally, Stefanik should make clear that agencies engaging in antisemitism will not receive funding from the US, including bodies that target Israel or deny Jewish history.

She should focus on dismantling UN agencies like UNRWA, which fund terrorist organizations, and investigate terror financing in Afghanistan.

Moreover, she should work on enhancing border security in collaboration with other agencies to deter illegal immigration.

If Stefanik follows this America First UN strategy, she may not be popular in certain circles, but she will empower the country.
