The Senate is obligated to conduct an impeachment trial for Alejandro Mayorkas

A recent vote in the House of Representatives resulted in the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on charges of willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law and breach of public trust.

It is now the responsibility of the Senate to conduct a thorough trial and present the evidence to the American people.

States across the nation, from Texas to New York, have experienced the consequences of Mayorkas’ failure to secure the border and control illegal immigration.

After a months-long investigation and gathering of evidence and witness testimony, the Homeland Security Committee sent articles of impeachment to the House floor for a vote, urging the Senate to carefully consider these charges.

As representatives from states directly affected by the crisis, we have witnessed the far-reaching impact of Mayorkas’ actions.

New York, despite being far from the southern border, has faced a significant influx of illegal immigrants, straining state resources and leading to increased costs and public safety concerns.

Texas, on the other hand, has borne the brunt of the costs associated with illegal immigration, including loss of life and property damage due to criminal activities related to this crisis.

Throughout Mayorkas’ tenure, his policies have contributed to a surge in illegal border crossings, with millions entering the country unlawfully, including individuals with criminal backgrounds and potential security threats.

We are calling on every senator to support a trial and listen to our case, as dismissing this impeachment effort would disregard the concerns of millions of Americans and undermine national security.
