Why Democrats Are Pursuing Social Justice for Profit

For Democrats, advocating for social justice has become a lucrative enterprise.

Take a look at Southwest Key Programs: As part of the system that profits from migrant issues, it amassed an astonishing $3 billion in taxpayer dollars from fiscal 2021 to 2024.

This organization is the largest provider of housing for unaccompanied migrant children and has deep-seated issues.

The Biden Justice Department filed a lawsuit against it in July, citing claims of “severe” and “pervasive” instances of rape and abuse of the children under its supervision from 2015 to 2023. Furthermore, a congressional investigation revealed evidence that suggested SKP even handed children over to traffickers.

Yet, this did not prevent the executives in charge from inflating their own salaries!

While staff members were reportedly engaged in horrific acts against the children, CEO Anselmo Villareal saw his pay balloon from around $500,000 (already excessively high) in fiscal 2021 to nearly $1.2 million in fiscal 2023.

Meanwhile, Chief of Staff Christina Cantu saw her salary increase by approximately 280%, soaring from $86,300 to $326,228.

This created further incentive for Democrats to keep the border open: without it, the flood of funds to their affiliates would cease. (SKP’s leading lobbyist and a group of other officials were, unsurprisingly, contributing part of the money they extracted from taxpayers to Democratic campaigns).

And this is not merely about border issues.

An NGO coalition associated with the failed gubernatorial candidate and election denier Stacey Abrams received $2 billion from the Biden administration.

Power Forward Communities was established to advance another Democratic policy folly — forcing a “green energy transition” by mandating the use of inferior “energy-efficient” appliances and rewiring homes.

In some instances, this was allegedly achieved by purchasing new stoves and other appliances, which certainly resembles a “goodies-for-votes” scheme.

Especially given that this organization was reportedly so unqualified that it had to undergo training on budget management as part of the grant process.

So, remember, kids.

For all the bleeding-heart Democrats’ rhetoric about “migrant justice” and “sustainable energy,” their true focus is less on altruism and more on profit.
