Why Trump should embrace the winning ideas of Project 2025 despite criticism from Kamala Harris and Dems.

Kamala Harris recently visited Las Vegas and adopted one of Donald Trump’s signature policies: eliminating tax on tips. Trump, who originally got the idea for this policy from a waitress, responded with a strong reaction on Truth Social and labeled Harris as “Copy Cat Kamala…. has no ideas, she can only steal from me.”

Harris’ decision to emulate a candidate her party has criticized for years is baffling, especially given her attempt to distance herself from her own administration’s policies.

No Clear Policy

Harris is portraying herself as a blank slate when it comes to policy. Her campaign website lacks substance beyond a donation tool and brief bios of herself and running mate Tim Walz.

In the last month, Harris has only offered a vague promise of scheduling an interview by the end of the month, showcasing a lack of transparency and policy details.

In contrast, Trump held a lengthy press conference, JD Vance appeared on multiple news shows, and even Biden engaged with the media, highlighting a disparity in communication and policy presentation.

While Trump has a detailed 20-point platform on his website, Harris lacks a clear policy direction, putting her at odds with her own government and potential clashes with Biden over policy decisions.

If the election were solely about policies, Trump would likely win due to Harris carrying the burden of the past four years of challenges like inflation, immigration, crime, and division.

Efforts to define new policies will test Harris’ ability to navigate within her party and distinguish herself from Biden’s administration, posing challenges in shaping her own political identity.

Democrats recognize Harris’ vulnerability on policy issues and are under pressure to provide meaningful substance to her campaign before it’s too late.

They resorted to discrediting the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 as a diversion from developing their own policies, showcasing a lack of original ideas.

Even CNN fact-checked Harris’ claims about Project 2025 as false, highlighting a misleading narrative to cover up the absence of substantive policies.

Effective Policy Proposals

The conservative think tank Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, despite being targeted unfairly, contains popular and sensible policies that could potentially shape electoral success and governance strategies.

Key proposals with high public support include:

  • Requiring businesses to verify legal residency of employees – 82% support, 13% oppose.
  • Reducing government spending annually to combat inflation – 81% support, 12% oppose.
  • Enforcing existing immigration laws, including deportations – 79% support, 16% oppose.
  • Equal tax treatment for married and unmarried couples – 74% support, 12% oppose.

While Project 2025 may have faced backlash, it presents a viable roadmap for conservative governance and policy implementation.

Unlike Trump’s reaction, Ronald Reagan embraced similar policy suggestions in the past, indicating the potential benefits of integrating conservative policy thinking for effective government strategy.

Utilizing the best conservative economic and social policies can enhance government functionality and efficiency, embodying a logical approach to governance.
