FBI Announces $50,000 Reward for Leads in UnitedHealthcare CEO Murder Case
The investigation into the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson is still active three days following the incident on December 4.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for any information that leads to the capture and conviction of the shooter who killed CEO Brian Thompson on December 4.
Thompson was shot dead by a masked assailant in what authorities believe was a targeted attack; however, they have yet to disclose a motive behind the murder.
The incident took place outside 1335 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, at approximately 6:40 a.m. on December 4, according to the FBI.

Authorities suspect that the shooter arrived in New York on November 24 via a bus from Atlanta and shot the victim ten days later.
Surveillance footage indicates that the suspect fled the crime scene on an e-bike to Central Park, then exited the park near 77th Street. He was seen walking to a different location before taking a taxi to the Port Authority bus terminal close to 178th Street and Broadway, as Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny shared with CNN on Friday.
“Those buses are interstate buses, which is why we suspect he may have left New York City,” he noted, adding that investigators are trying to pinpoint which bus the suspect may have taken.
Later, Kenny advised that the NYPD had acquired footage of the man entering the Port Authority Bus Terminal but there is no footage of him exiting, which leads them to “believe he may have boarded a bus.”
