Gov. Abbott Sends Texas National Guard to Support U.S. Border Patrol




Approximately 400 more troops, along with C-130 planes and Chinook helicopters, left military installations in Fort Worth and Houston following Governor Greg Abbott’s directive for the state’s Tactical Border Force to be sent to the Rio Grande Valley. This deployment aims to support the U.S. Border Patrol in reinforcing security along the Mexico border.
