Four People Seriously Injured in Motor Vehicle Collision Near Edmonton



The Parkland RCMP is currently investigating a severe motor vehicle collision that occurred on the afternoon of March 23 in Spruce Grove, a community located 11 kilometers west of Edmonton.

According to the authorities, initial reports suggest that a Stony Plain Community Peace officer tried to pull over a red sedan that was speeding.

The vehicle then turned onto Highway 16a heading westbound, disregarding multiple traffic lights before crashing into a minivan.

Both the driver and passenger of the minivan sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Officials stated that the driver and passenger of the sedan also suffered serious injuries but are in stable condition and receiving medical care at the hospital.
