Potential Microbial Contamination Leads to Recall of 7 Cheeses in Canada
Health Canada has issued a recall for three cheese brands in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec due to possible microbial contamination.
The affected brands include Rumba Cheeses, Sabana Cheese, and Sombrero Cheese with various types of products.
Customers are advised to dispose of all affected products immediately.
Staphylococcus aureus can cause food poisoning with symptoms like nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea which usually last for about 24 hours.
Gluten-Related Recalls
Additionally, Universal Bakery brand Organic Aussie Bites and Sitara brand Brown Lentils are being recalled in Canada for undeclared gluten.
Consumers with gluten-related disorders are advised not to consume these products and can return them to the store or dispose of them.
