Summer McIntosh Expresses Interest in Returning to Paris as Flag Bearer for Closing Ceremony
After returning to Toronto, Summer McIntosh expresses her willingness to go back to Paris if chosen as Canada’s flag bearer for the closing ceremony.
The teenage athlete from Toronto, who achieved four medals at the Paris Games (three golds and a silver), considers it a great honor to represent Canada by carrying the flag.
McIntosh, after coming back home, plans to take a break from swimming and enjoy some relaxation time at her cottage with friends before potentially resuming activities in Toronto, including some shopping.
She remains open to the possibility of a quick return to Paris if given the opportunity to carry the Canadian flag at the closing ceremony scheduled for Sunday.
McIntosh emphasizes how much of an honor it would be to bear the flag for Canada, noting that there have been no official announcements related to the flag bearer selection yet.
