TV Doctor Michael Mosley’s Wife in a state of devastation as she confirms his passing
His body was discovered in a rocky area beside Agia Marina on the Greek island of Symi on Sunday.
The widow of TV doctor and columnist Michael Mosley expressed her devastation at losing her husband, confirming that he was found dead on the Greek island of Symi after going missing on Wednesday.
Mosley’s body was located in a rocky area near Agia Marina on Symi on Sunday following an extensive search by emergency workers. He was last seen on CCTV in the village of Pedi before his disappearance.
Accompanied by his wife and friends, Mosley was at Agios Nikolaos beach on Wednesday before going for a walk alone to the center of the island.
Dr. Clare Bailey Mosley, Mosley’s wife, conveyed her deep sorrow at the loss of her husband and expressed gratitude for the support received from people worldwide.
She mentioned that Mosley was adventurous, which made him special, and revealed that his family and friends are grateful for the efforts of the search team on Symi.
“We’re taking comfort in the fact that he so very nearly made it. He did an incredible climb, took the wrong route and collapsed where he couldn’t be easily seen by the extensive search team. Michael was an adventurous man, it’s part of what made him so special.”
She expressed gratitude to the people of Symi for their tireless efforts in helping find Mosley and thanked her children and friends for their support.
Mosley’s four children joined his wife on Symi to assist in the search for their father.

Mosley’s body was discovered under a fence near a bar on Agia Marina beach on Sunday morning, with police and firefighters arriving at the scene to handle the situation.
Despite the extensive search efforts in challenging conditions, including the use of drones, a helicopter, and divers, Mosley was not found until Sunday.
The Greek authorities altered their search focus after new CCTV footage showed Mosley walking towards a mountain path on Symi.
Mosley, known for his work in media as a presenter, author, and columnist, was remembered by his publisher as a brilliant and kind man with a lasting legacy.
