Woman Faces Charges for Allegedly Setting Another Woman on Fire


The 20-year-old victim sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to the hospital, where she is currently in a serious but stable condition.

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after supposedly throwing a flammable substance on a young woman and setting her on fire.

The incident occurred in Shepparton in northern Victoria on Jan. 16.

The 20-year-old victim suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to the hospital, where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

A 33-year-old Shepparton woman was also taken to the hospital under police guard.

On Jan. 30, she was charged with attempted murder, intentionally causing serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, and intentionally causing serious injury.

She will face court on Wednesday.
