Huckabee Tells Newsmax: Trump Should Pay Fines with $1 Bills
Former Arkansas Republican Gov. Mike Huckabee shared his thoughts with Newsmax on how Donald Trump should handle the fines for violating a gag order in the Manhattan criminal trial.
“Judge [Juan] Merchan keeps fining Trump for the gag order,” Huckabee said during an appearance on “Wake Up America.”
Huckabee suggested Trump should pay the fines with $1 bills and throw it on Judge Merchan’s desk, saying, ‘Here, keep the change.’ He criticized the situation, stating that it is unjust targeting of Trump.
He also praised Trump for his gesture of delivering pizzas to a New York City firehouse after court on Thursday.
“I just love Donald Trump for stuff like this,” Huckabee said. “I mean, who else goes in court all day and then, instead of going home and just taking a hot bath, goes and delivers pizza to first responders and shakes their hands. But this is classic Donald Trump.”
Huckabee also compared Trump’s visibility and activity to President Joe Biden, criticizing Biden for his lack of transparency and presence.
