Biden proved he hates NYC 36 times during migrant crisis

Thirty-six times Mayor Eric Adams has now begged fellow Democrat Joe Biden for help with the migrant crisis the president created, per a count by The Post.

Thirty-six times.

And 36 times Biden has told Hizzoner to pound sand.

New Yorkers should take it not only as huge F.U. from the prez but a $12 billion tax.

That’s how much Adams says the bill will be to accommodate migrants just through fiscal 2025 (assuming there’s no increase in the flow).

When President Gerald Ford turned down Mayor Abe Beame’s request for aid during the city’s near-bankruptcy in 1975 — prompting the famous headline “Ford to City: Drop Dead” — it might have been slightly more understandable: The two men were, at least, of different parties.

And the feds later did provide some help.

Yet, notably, Ford blamed his denial in large part for his loss of the White House to Jimmy Carter the next year.

Let’s be honest: The migrant crisis isn’t at bottom New York’s fault. And it isn’t Adams’.

It was dropped on Americans against all warnings when Biden took office.

The migrant crisis isn’t Mayor Adams’ doing.

It was dropped in his lap without warning.

It’s “just inhumane on the part of the national government,” Adams fumed back in January. “It’s irresponsible that we have not had a real national response to what’s happening at our border.”

At one point, the mayor even blasted Vice President Kamala Harris: “One person . . . we should be looking at — it is often stated that . . . the VP has too much in her portfolio to be focused on just doing that decompression strategy.”

Yet despite Adams’ pleas, Team Biden has left the city on the hook for billions — and counting — in food, shelter, medical and education expenses for tens of thousands of newly arriving illegal migrants.

So far, despite the multibillion-dollar tab, Washington has ponied up a measly $142 million in funding — enough to last barely two weeks, given the city’s nearly $10 million daily migrant tab.

Heck, it wasn’t until this week, a year after the flood of migrants began, that Biden finally dispatched top aide ex-DNC chairman Tom Perez to sit down with Adams.

And that closed-door meeting only happened days after news reports and video of dire circumstances and migrants sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the city’s processing center at the Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan.

Here’s the cold, hard truth: New York simply cannot afford these costs. Even the state’s financial watchdog, Tom DiNapoli (another Democrat), says so.

“The lack of federal policy adjustments and a substantial matching share of funding for managing the asylum seeker influx has created an unsustainable fiscal issue for the city,” DiNapoli wrote in a new 48-page document.

Worse: “Significant matching federal support does not appear to be forthcoming, and change to existing immigration policies does not seem imminent.”

It’s devastating.

Biden created this nightmare, and now he won’t even listen to fellow Democrats to fix it.

If the madness doesn’t stop soon, there won’t be much of a city left to welcome anyone
