Perfect Fit: Spies Who Lie in Sync with Team Biden’s DHS Serial Liars
If the Department of Homeland Security’s new “Experts Group” is meant to help better spread disinformation, it just made wise picks in three expert ex-intel gaslighters: John Brennan, James Clapper and Paul Kolbe.
DHS claims the panel will advise on issues like “terrorism, fentanyl, transborder issues and emerging technology.”
Yet a top DHS (and Biden administration) priority has always been to deceive the public — to protect President Joe Biden and promote the left’s agenda.
Witness DHS chief Alejandro Mayorkas’ repeated insistence the US border is “secure,” even as thousands of foreigners are photographed illegally crossing every day.
He couldn’t ask for better experts to help him keep up the lies.
For starters, all three signed the infamous October 2020 letter dismissing The Post’s report on Hunter Biden’s incriminating laptop as having “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”
That shielded Joe on the eve of the 2020 election, helping him win.
Clearly, the trio wasn’t chosen for getting analyses like that right; The Post’s stories, after all, have since been “authenticated” by most major outlets, including on the left.
Brennan is a particularly egregious liar — heck, lefities accuse him of lying repeatedly about the CIA’s drone program and the Osama bin Laden raid.
And he lied to Congress at least twice — once in denying CIA hacking of Senate computers and later in claiming the bogus Steele dossier wasn’t a key part of the Russia Collusion probe.
Clapper, too, fibbed to Congress in 2013, claiming the government collected no bulk data on Americans.
He lied again later in claiming he never leaked info on the Steele dossier (though he eventually ’fessed up).
Their records fit nicely with a president who rarely goes a day without spewing falsehoods and an administration aggressively trying to censor social-media posts.
Oh, and to direct all media, as in last week’s memo demanding the press attack the GOP impeachment inquiry. (Many complied, too!)
And last year, DHS set up a Ministry of Truth, er “Disinformation Governance Board,” to ID “harmful info” to be acted on by government.
It picked disinfo “expert” Nina Jankowicz, who’d herself pushed whoppers about Russia-Trump collusion and labeled The Post’s Hunter Biden reports “disinformation.”
Brennan, Clapper and Kolbe will fit right in at DHS; as for the department’s claim they’ll help on real issues, like terrorism and fentanyl, don’t be surprised if that turns out to be disinfo, too.
