A tram accident at Universal Studios Hollywood has resulted in injuries to 15 individuals.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the theme park just after 9pm local time on Saturday.
Reports indicate that 15 people were transported to hospitals with minor injuries.
The incident occurred when the last car of a tram collided with a metal guardrail, causing it to “tilt and eject multiple passengers,” according to the California Highway Patrol.
Some of the injuries were described as “moderate” by the Highway Patrol, although the exact number was not specified.
The trams are typically used for behind-the-scenes tours of the sets where Universal’s major films and TV shows were filmed.
Sheriff’s Lieutenant Maria Abal suggested that the tram may have experienced brake issues.
The Highway Patrol, which is leading the investigation, ruled out alcohol and drugs as contributing factors to the accident.
A spokesperson from Universal Studios confirmed there were “multiple minor injuries” but did not provide further details.

The tram route, known as the World-Famous Studio Tour, showcases sets from films like the classic Jaws from 1975 and Jordan Peele’s recent hit Nope.
