Poll finds majority of Democrats would challenge Trump victory, according to Rasmussen survey
A recent survey indicates that a majority of Democrats who believe former President Donald Trump incited an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, would oppose the outcome of the 2024 presidential election if he were to win.
“Some Democrats in Congress have stated that if Trump is victorious in this year’s election, they will refuse to certify the election results due to his involvement in the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021,” as per a poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports.
The poll results revealed that out of 912 likely voters surveyed from March 5-7, 57% of Democrats would oppose certifying the election results. However, when considering all likely voters, only 35% would be against certifying the election results.
The margin of error for the poll was 3 percentage points.
